Caroline Kalpan, M.A. is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate*.

Caroline attended Texas A&M and received her B.S. in Education with a concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies. She has worked in various teaching roles in the education world for 8 years as a 3rd grade teacher, 1st grade teacher, and a reading intervention teacher in Plano and Grand Prairie. During her role as a reading intervention teacher, she noticed how imperative children’s mental health was, not only for their education, but overall well-being.

She then pursued her Master's in School Counseling and became a school counselor for Dallas ISD where she advocated for students through communication with parents, teachers, and administration. She was also the 504 coordinator. As a school counselor, she helped students with learning disorders such as dyslexia and dysgraphia. She also helped students with self-esteem, anxiety, ADHD, depression, autism, grief, PTSD, and social skills.

Caroline is trained in child centered play therapy. She uses techniques from play therapy, sandtray therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and expressive arts to help her clients grow and heal.

Caroline knows how important it is for people to have an advocate for themselves throughout all stages of their lifespan. She is also skilled in working with teens and adults, providing them with a safe place to explore their emotional world and find relief from all sorts of life stressors.

As a school counselor, Caroline had the opportunity to work with many parents helping them understand age appropriate behaviors of children, development, and parenting skills. It is an honor to be with others as they cultivate a relationship with themselves, while simultaneously navigating the intricacies and joys of life.

In her free time, Caroline loves to create--whether that is desserts or art! She enjoys painting, reading, gardening, and baking. She is currently taking classes to learn how to throw clay on the pottery wheel. She also has a basset hound named Ruthie who is a sweet, stubborn handful!
