Ryanne “Niki” Shewchuk, M.S. is a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX #78587) and Registered Play Therapist. Niki is in network with Molina Marketplace.

Niki attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in both psychology and sociology and minored in English. This combined her love for learning about people, how they work together, and an excuse to read a million books. 

Niki earned her Master’s in Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. She specialized in children, adolescents, families, and adults. She completed her internship at Frisco ISD’s alternative school, The Student Opportunity Center. 

After graduation, Niki provided therapy to a variety of populations in-home while working at a counseling practice in Dallas. In April 2019, Niki joined the Nourish Play Therapy team where she completed her supervised hours. She continues to share her passion for helping people. Niki loves to learn; in 2018, she became EMDR-Trained, and in 2019, she completed her 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training. 

Niki has participated in several international mission trips throughout her life, bringing her love of play to countries such as Russia, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. 

Outside of her work, Niki loves yoga, running, reading, and traveling. She loves spending time with her people, but she generally prefers to hang out with kiddos, dogs, and Netflix when possible. 

Fun Fact:

In February 2020, Niki ran her fifth half marathon at the Disney Princess race series and she dressed as her favorite princess, Belle. During quarantine, Niki has begun the arduous task of learning how to be a better plant mom. It could be going better :)
