Play Therapy & EMDR Workshop November 16 & 17, 2024

If you have attended EMDR basic training, you probably focused on treatment with adults and maybe received two hours for special populations.

You probably have more questions than answers about integrating EMDR into your play therapy practice.

Maybe you are left wondering how to use this effective evidenced based model for treating trauma with our most vulnerable child and teen clients.

This training bridges both EMDR therapy and The Therapeutic Powers of Play so you can feel confident the treatment you provide to meet children where they are and use their natural language of play when processing trauma.

This training will also explore the concept of the window of tolerance, delve more deeply into the eight phases of the standard protocol, assess for dissociation, guide you on how to anchor dysregulation through stabilization exercises, practice myriad dual attention stimulation techniques, and finally, build confidence in working with parents and supporting them using EMDR stabilization techniques to help them strengthen their co-regulation skills.

Didactic lecture, video segments, experiential activities, live demonstrations, and case discussion will be implemented in this training for you to integrate the material into your practice ASAP.
