Sara is a proud native Texan with a rich academic background, having earned her Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas before pursuing her second Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.
Sara has worked as a university instructor in Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University where she instilled a profound understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health issues within the community.
Sara also worked as a Dallas County probation officer where her focus extended beyond law enforcement to prioritize offender rehabilitation and collaboration with rehabilitative services. Through her advocacy for mental health and addiction support, she helped people on their path to overall well-being by empowering them to take charge of their lives and find balance.
As a counselor, Sara loves helping teens and adults who have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems caused by addiction and abuse. She uses a mix of therapy methods such as Person Centered Therapy, CBT, and mindfulness techniques. Sara's approach centers on genuine care and support, creating a safe environment for her clients to open up and take courageous steps towards healing. She believes in providing a non-judgmental space where clients feel secure and respected.

Sara is a devoted mom to three wonderful sons. Whether she's hanging out with her family, taking long walks with neighbors, or diving into deep conversations with friends, Sara thrives on connection and making memories. And let's not forget her green thumb – she's absolutely plant-obsessed! There's just something about tending to her houseplants that brings her so much joy and tranquility.

The "intern" status designates that the license holder is within the first 3,000 hours of their clinical work experience and meets weekly with a Licensed Supervisor for clinical guidance and direction.
